The Rutles Advertisement

Full-page parody advertisement for The Rutles, featured Eric's The Rutland Weekend Dirty Weekend Book, 1976. Styled after a Rolling Stone magazine ad, it promotes the group’s forthcoming Finchley Road LP on NSU Records and their current single, “A Ticket to Rut,” released on the Turnip label. The ad also lists a selection of fictional Rutles merchandise, including: Rutles Gumboots, Rutles Rattles, Rutles Split-Crotch Pantyhose, Rutles Matching Bidet and Handkerchief, Little Rutle Rude Things, and Real Rutle Vasectomies.
